NMEA Reader ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.

NMEA Reader uses your device's GPS location exclusively to display your vessel's position on the nautical chart and to calculate navigation data (course, speed, distance to waypoints).
The app stores your settings and preferences locally on your device using Apple's standard UserDefaults system. This includes display preferences, connection settings, and subscription status. This data never leaves your device.
NMEA Reader Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs all payment data. You can review it at apple.com/legal/privacy.
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third party. NMEA Reader operates without any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or external services that would receive your data.
The app connects to a local network device (e.g., a chartplotter or NMEA multiplexer) via TCP/IP on your local Wi-Fi network. This connection is entirely within your local network and no NMEA data is transmitted over the internet.
NMEA Reader is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Since we do not collect personal data, there is no data to access, correct, or delete. All data generated by the app is stored locally on your device and can be removed by deleting the app.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
